The Meadows

The Meadows development is a partnership between Southwestern WI Community Action Program, Inc. and Cinnaire Solutions to bring 32 units of much-needed affordable housing for agricultural workers and their families in the region. The Darlington community and surrounding region are home to numerous farms and agricultural businesses. In Lafayette County, Agriculture accounts for 85% of the total business sales and provides 54% of the jobs. As many rural areas grapple with a lack of affordable housing to support families and businesses, this development seeks to address that need, providing safe, quality housing for agricultural workers in the community.

Alice Place

– Alice Place Monroe provides much needed affordable housing to adults 55 and older in Monroe and the surrounding area. Our goal was to create a community where residents can feel at home and enjoy the multiple amenities and communal spaces on-site. There has been a need for independent senior housing throughout Green County. Bringing Affordable Senior Housing to Monroe will continue to be integral to the growth of Monroe.

Rock Springs Flood Recovery

The Village of Rock Springs was flooded during historic flooding of the Baraboo River in 2008, 2018 and 2019. Repetitive flooding caused extensive damage to the library and community center, downtown businesses and destroyed housing, creating a need for the Village to relocate essential operations out of the floodway. The village is constructing a new municipal building which houses the library, community center, fire station, public works and village hall. Village infrastructure is also being upgraded and repaired. The Village is pursuing CDBG Disaster Recovery funding to assist with development of replacement housing.
