In Douglas County, the Head Start program was dealing with inadequate classroom sites that are either less than ideal or prone to being moved as host agencies’ space needs increase.
- Having moved the Head Start classroom 14 times in the last 25 years. Funding this project will allow Head Start to have a permanent home allowing children and families stability for their education. The building also provides room for other health and human service needs.
