Summary
The project is a rehabilitation of 3 levels of historic Trabert Hall, formerly a nurse’s dormitory, which had been used over the last several years for various county offices. The rehabilitation project features a total of 32 one-bedroom apartments and community spaces, including a community kitchen. Eighteen of the apartments are HTF-assisted units. This project was completed in conjunction with a separate project which consisted of renovation of two of the levels of the building which provide community health services (medical, mental health, dental and pharmacy) and workspaces for staff. Services offered on these levels are available to the residents as well as the community.
The project has been completed and in process of leasing. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held in May 2023.

Innovation
CenterPointe, a non-profit organization, wanted to develop an all-in-one shop to provide a continuum of care that included housing, mental health, substance-use disorder, and general medical services in a positive, strength-based approach. The apartment units were trauma informed designed to create a safe place for its residents. There are common spaces and community rooms located on the residential levels for resident use only that residents may use to host guests while maintaining the privacy of their own units. Residents also have access to the community kitchen in the building as well as the medical, mental health, dental and pharmacy services. The project was designed to integrate residents into the community. The community also has access to the services offered by CenterPointe.
