Golden Key Apartments

– Alice Place Monroe provides much needed affordable housing to adults 55 and older in Monroe and the surrounding area. Our goal was to create a community where residents can feel at home and enjoy the multiple amenities and communal spaces on-site. There has been a need for independent senior housing throughout Green County. Bringing Affordable Senior Housing to Monroe will continue to be integral to the growth of Monroe.

Dunn Utility Products Expansion

The Dunn Utility Products company will be repurposing the Enhance Mississippi Shell Building in New Albany and an adjeacent land parcel into two new manufacturing plants. Dunn Utility Products is a provider of precast concrete solutions for above-ground and underground concreate. With the increasing construction demand and urbanization of surrounding areas of Memphis, Birmingham, and Nashville, sponsoring this project will be able to meet the needs of future infrastructure and economic development plans for the surrounding areas.

Southern Motion Expansion New Albany

The City of New Albany requested CDBG funding to assist with improvements to a publicly owned building and truck loading yard. The City of New Albany needed to rehabilitate an existing industrial building to allow the company, Southern Motion, Inc., to expand and create additional job opportunities for local area residents.

Laurel Wastewater Treatment Upgrades

The City of Laurel was in desperate need of making water system improvements at water treatment plants 2 and 3, constructed in the 1970s. These two plants combined provide treatment for approximately 75% of the city’s water supply. The existing ground storage tanks at both plants needed to be rehabilitated. In addition to the ground storage tank problems, the aerators at both plants needed to be replaced.
