The Village of Celoron was awarded $750,000 in NYS CDBG Economic Development funds to assist Chautauqua Harbor Hotel, LLC. The project allowed Chautauqua Harbor to open a destination hotel on waterfront property. The new 130,000 square foot facility includes 132 guest rooms, 8,000 square feet of event space with pre-function areas and breakout rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness room, dining and lounge areas, and seasonal outdoor food and beverage facilities. The $26,516,000 project created 86 full time equivalent jobs over two years, with 68 (84%) made available to low-moderate income persons. NYS CDBG funds were used for the purchase of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
The project created 86 FTE jobs with 84 of them benefitting low-moderate income individuals.
